How to Identify the Correct GN ReSound SureFit 2C Receiver
Choosing the right receiver is important for both comfort and sound performance. Here’s how to identify which one you need:
1. Check the Markings on Your Current Receiver
Each receiver has small printed details indicating its size and power level (e.g. 1, 2, 3 for length, and LP, MP, HP for power). The easiest option is to match these exactly with your replacement.
2. Determine Left or Right Side
Receivers are ear-specific. Look for colour indicators:
- Red = Right ear
- Blue = Left ear
3. Confirm the Length (Size)
The number (e.g. 1, 2, 3) refers to the wire length. Choosing the same size ensures a comfortable and secure fit around your ear.
4. Check the Power Level
- LP (Low Power) – Mild hearing loss
- MP (Medium Power) – Moderate hearing loss
- HP (High Power) – More severe hearing loss
Your audiologist will have originally selected this based on your hearing needs, so it’s best to stick with the same level unless advised otherwise.
